Government Launches “Startup India Showcase Platform” to Feature Exceptional Startups

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal trade (DPIIT) during the online facilitation ceremony on Tuesday launched an online discovery platform called ‘Startup India Showcase’. The platform will exhibit the details of some of India’s most promising and credible startups that are chosen through DPIIT and various startup India programs.
Startups across sectors such as Fintech, EntrepriseTech, Social Impact, HealthTech, EdTech, are featured in the platform. The startups featured in the platform are trusted and approved by the Quality Council of India. They have demonstrated the ability to deliver to the customer. They have also adapted to the pandemic by customizing their functioning, have proved their capabilities in various government-organized competitions, and are at par with global ecosystems.
The platform is powered with various tools from a powerful search to an intuitive filter which will help startups get visibility and recognition as well as assist corporate/PSUs discover potential partners. It will also help budding startups to derive learnings and inspiration from successful and scalable startups.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal also invited startups to register at the public procurement portal GeM (Government e-marketplace) and offer goods as well as services to government organizations and PSUs. The startup discovery platform will help to deploy the huge potential of startups by enabling investors and government organizations to seamlessly discover them through the interface.
